in:finite EP 3 begins with “on variegating,” which skitters with electronic insects and plaintive strings, splicing digital energy with the swell and rise of classical emotion. The future melds with the past, as the present whizzes past the window and possibilities float in the air before vanishing forever. “on growing” creates a vision of greenery cracking through the ice after aeons of stasis, a heartbeat stealthily beating beneath as the surface fractures; “on searching” remains cold, metallic snowflakes collapsing into the warmth of horsehair as strings sing of longing; “on raining” speaks of an endless day, mournful and recalcitrant, undergirded by strong passion, a music box colliding with a Medieval battle. The EP finishes with “on melting,” a reminder that beneath all the complexity there is simplicity
